The Solway Firth Partnership

The Solway Firth Partnership is an independent charity that works to support a vibrant and sustainable local community while respecting, protecting and celebrating the distinctive character and natural features of our marine and coastal area.

Their February newsletter has details of the Dumfries and Galloway Regionwide Coastal Benefit Fund which is now open.  Follow this link for details.

They produce a number of downloadable publications including Tide Lines a full colour 32-page magazine.  The Winter edition is now available.  It has articles on Mersehead, Five Arches, a book by local author D Malcolm Gibson, and many other articles featuring life round the Solway Coast.  You really need to visit their website for the wealth if information it contains on the Solway but here are seperate liinks to a number of their guides contained within their website:
