The Dumfries and Galloway Regionwide Coastal Benefit Fund is now open for the benfit of coastal communities.  Follow the links from our Solway Firth Partnership page. 

We try and feature items relevant to the local area. Any feedback on the site is welcome and if you have an event in the area served by the Community Council please send the information to

Progress on the maintenance of the Hall will be reviewed and future plans discussed.

Colvend Public Hall is owned by the local community and its day-to-day running is dependent on hall lets and various events organised by the Management Committee .

Everybody is welcome to attend these meetings observe, offer help or participate in how the Hall is being managed on your behalf.

 Discover some of the amazing wildlife looked after on this farm.  As the season changes so do the habitats and special creatures found here - from trees and plants shutting down for the winter to birds flocking in their masses.  These walks will give you a chance to see it all close up and learn how we manage this important place for nature in our fields and on the wetlands.  

Price adults £4.00 children £2.00 (£3.00 and £1.50 for RSPB members).  Guided walk - booking essential - 01387 780579.

Saturday, 22 February, 2020 - 19:00 to 20:30

Feast your eyes on badgers as they snuffle around for a snack in the garden.  Watch them from the comfort of our Sulwath Centre, with hot drinks also available for the evening.  And who knows what else might turn up.
